“I graduated from Rancho Cucamonga highschool in 2017 and enrolled at riverside city college and played baseball for the tigers until 2019 when I earned a scholarship to Cal State San Bernardino and finished my baseball career earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. I currently am a hitting and pitching instructor at iron spikes as well as a strength and conditioning coach”.
I am 24 years old and I emphasize in the speed aspect here at Iron Spikes. I studied and played baseball at Riverside City College and Cal State San Bernardino, receiving my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in the process. As one of the strength and speed coaches here, my goal as a trainer is to build a strong foundation in the young athletes and prepare them for their respective sports.
Coach D has played the game for 13 years. She has competed at many levels: travel, high school & college. She has been blessed enough to spend time with coaches like Natasha Watley, Ruby Rojas, Crystl Bustos & Alex Mascarenas. Soaking up all the knowledge they had to share.
In 2014 at the end of her freshmen year while attending Midland College in Texas, she welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Determined to not let that be the end of her career she set a goal to walk on to one of the most respected Juco’s in California, Mt San Antonio. After finishing her sophomore year hitting 1st in her conference & 5th in the state, Cal State San Bernardino extended an offer for her to join their program. Going into her junior year she made the decision to hang her cleats up & focus on being a mom while continuing her education. She has now spent the past 5 years coaching her daughter at Rancho ACE softball. Her goal for her players is to deepen their knowledge and love of the game while educating them in the process of becoming student athletes at a higher level. She aims to optimize her athletes performance both on and off the field by focusing on the basic fundamentals of hitting, slapping and the mental aspect of the game.
